Overview
A manufacturing facility in the York area is seeking an experienced Die Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and setup of progressive stamping dies. This role ensures safe, efficient tooling performance and supports overall production quality.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, repair, maintain, and groom progressive stamping dies.
Troubleshoot die and press issues to maintain workflow efficiency and part quality.
Remove, install, and set up dies in stamping presses.
Use measurement tools and quality practices to verify part accuracy.
Grind tooling and check die alignment to meet design specifications.
Maintain organized storage and documentation of all tooling.
Record maintenance and repairs accurately and on time.
Communicate tooling concerns, required adjustments, or suggested modifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of vocational/technical training or three years of stamping or die maintenance experience.
Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, decimals, and metric/standard conversions.
Experience using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other measuring equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, tooling prints, and geometric tolerancing.
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Availability for overtime, night shift, or weekend work as needed.
